Fife CLD Volunteer Framework

CLD Volunteer Framework1

This document provides a broader context for volunteering with Fife Council and sets out a framework that has been customised to meet the particular needs of supporting and evidencing volunteering in a Community Learning & Development (CLD) setting.

Areas covered by this framework include:

  • ABE & ESOL Volunteer Tutors
  • Community Based Project Volunteers
  • Community Job Club Volunteers
  • Digital Champions and Community Capacit
  • Building Volunteers
  • Youth Work Volunteers

A generic Project Plan has been developed for volunteering in CLD, (1.1). One project for Adult Learning, one for Youth Work and one for Community Capacity Building per area will be established on the CLD Management Information System, Cognisoft, to record all volunteer development. Volunteering hours will be recorded in the host project for Adult Learning and Youth Work. Community Capacity Building volunteer development will be recorded but volunteering activity will not be recorded at this time.
